Seeing Right Through You

Why do 80% of people perpetrate to be this image that they're not or follow social/cultural norms that don't make any sense? I get beyond annoyed when people pretend to be something that they're not or speak on a subject that they know nothing about. I remember there being this idiot in one of my classes that said he hated the police. He was like going on and on about how the police are this and that, so I asked him to describe a situation in which he was wrongly accused of something or mistreated by an officer and he couldn't come up with one. Me being the inquiring mind that I am, I decided to take a shot in the dark and ask if he also believed in the whole "snitches get stitches" campaign. Of course he did. I didn't ask about anything else because I didn't feel like being bothered but that's exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm fully aware that not all cops are good. There are more than a few public incidents that prove this but to generalize the entire force and to claim that you hate them on the sole basis of you hearing your favorite artist say it and because that's the general assumption of your community is just so dumb. I'll let you know now, I'll be the first one to call the police if I'm in danger and to "snitch" on my neighbor that's always playing his loud obnoxious drums. Additionally, if I knew of anyone that owned a unlicensed firearm, of course I'm going to anonymously leave a tip with my local precinct because that 1,000 reward notice looks super sexy and enticing every time I see it.

Everyone wants to be soooo gangster, smh. Why? Ever since I was younger I have never been the one to fight. I always told my friends that they better not start anything with anyone because I'm not taking part in any type of fight. I'll be the first biotch to run in the OPPOSITE direction. I'll definitely text you later though to make sure you're alright. I don't normally anticipate actually receiving a positive response but that's cool. At least I performed my due diligence as a good friend by following up on your condition post fight. :-)

Introducion

I didn't really know how to start this so I guess I'll just begin with an explanation of my ingenius title/url link. I originally wanted to go for "ipleadthefifth" but that was taken, and so was "ipleadthe5th", smhhhh. Anyway, basically this blog will be comprised of me saying whatever I want to say about anything and everything. The url "ipleadtha5th" was inspired by the extent to my blatant honesty. It's kind of a joke on me feeling like sometimes I have to watch what I say in fear of my words being used against me in a court of law one day. I'm super dramatic, you'll pick up on that over time.

My explanation for my title "I'm Forced to carry raid & mace" is like a funny take on the "streets" aspect of me having to watch my mouth. Like besides the horrific threat of getting sent to jail because of my ideas and feelings, my other worry is getting my ass kicked by my peers or anyone that may stumble across this blog. Me carrying mace is a representation of me needing to keep away angry guys that may not agree with my thoughts and ideas. Raid Roach Spray will of course be used to keep away the female crowd that WILL be offended with the things I say. Basically these will all be my honest feelings about whatever. I'm not really an outspoken person, so don't expect Kanye West style outburts; but you will be entertained. I generally keep my opinion to myself, unless I'm asked or if I'm interested in contributing.

Maybe this will be a venting/psychological/spiritual/virtual diary outlet for me. Who knows, I'm a little excited...
