So the other day I posted this status about homewrecking that got a lot of "buzz" in my mini Facebook world, so I decided to share. Basically I was on the train on my way to class and this popped into my head. Now I won't say that I'm going through this situation per say but umm it does kind of, sort of apply in some ways.
A few years ago I was on the other fence and thought homewrecking should be viewed as a crime to society and those that engage in such activity should be held responsible for their actions. That was spawned from the whole Swizz Beatz/Alicia Keys drama that was unfolding at the time. I blamed Alicia Keys for it allll & even thought "the nerve of her to make such spiritual/uplifting songs if this is what she was capable of". It's kind of funny now that I think about it.
But that was years ago, now that I'm a little older my views on this topic are completely changed. No one has the ability to take someone from another, So the whole concept of a "homewrecker" doesn't exist to me. Sole responsibility lies on the person that chose to leave; not the third party. I know now that if I were ever truly happy in a relationship & loved the sh*t out of someone; there's no one person in this entire world that could posses the power to take me from that.
